William Nelson Woodman, IV, age 71, of Grayling, MI passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024 at his home in Grayling surrounded by his family.
He was born on May 25, 1953 to William Nelson Woodman, III and Freda Yensena (Atkeson) Woodman in Almont, MI. He enjoyed hunting and many other outdoor activities. He was quite a character and the life of the party. He was a funny guy and liked to make someone smile everyday; if that was accomplished, his day was fulfilled. He was good at making friends easily and was a bubbly friendly man. If you knew him well, he would always give you hell just for fun. He enjoyed eating food and was considered a "foody", always cooking desserts and he had quite a sweet tooth. His saying was "If you leave hungry, it's your own damn fault!"
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy (Peters) Woodman; children, Heather (Steve) Woodman, William Nelson (Gina) Woodman V, Thomas Ray (Jenna) Woodman, and Matthew Ray Woodman; grandchildren, Katelyn, Skyelea, London, Aeden, Adeline, Allison, Ella, and Brooklyn; siblings, Ann Cole, Robert (Linda) Woodman, Pamela (Doug) Caskey, and Candace Caskey; many nieces and nephews; and fur-baby, Claribell.
William is preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Jack Cole, and brother-in-law Steve Caskey.
A memorial service will take place at Mount Hope Lutheran Church on January 18, 2024 visitation beginning at 10:00 AM and services will begin at 11:00 AM officiated by Pastor Kurt Klingbeil.
