William J. Walper

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William J. Walper, age 84, who passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2025.

Bill was born on November 28, 1940 in Windsor, Canada to Glenn and Helen (Blackburn) Walper. He was a highly intellectual man who enjoyed deep intellectual conversations, going to the library, and solving puzzles. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors and traveling to new places. Bill was a true gentleman, kind, gentle, and courteous to everyone. Bill was guided by his strong faith in the lord. His witty sense of humor and contagious laugh will be missed by all those who knew him. Above all he loved his family.

Bill is survived by his sister-in-law, Karen Walper; nephews, John Walper, Erik (Jen) Walper, Jeff (Cheryl) Walper, and Steve (Monica) Triplett; nieces, Terry (Henry) Hojnacki and Carrie (Brian) Piccolo; and several great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred Walper and Paul Walper; and nephew, David Triplett.

Bill's family will remember him privately at this time. He will be laid to rest in Canada with family there.
