William Franklin North, 68, joined our Lord and Savior on Memorial Day, May 27, 2013. He was born to the late John and Teresa North on January 11, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan. Bill was raised by his sister, the late Barbara Birnie, and his brother-in-law, Richard Birnie. Bill proudly served his country in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division. While working as a Master Electrician at the Chrysler McGraw Glass Plant in Detroit, Bill met his soulmate, Kathleen Francis Cherniausky. Bill and Kitty wed on October 21, 1989. He then retired from Chrysler on October 31, 2003. Bill faithfully served in many organizations that bettered his country and community. He was the President of Warbler's Hideaway Association, a 32nd Degree Mason, a Member of the Grayling Eagles Club, and a Member of IBEW Local 58. He enjoyed life and especially loved model trains and his beloved motorcycle. Bill was also quite the gun enthusiast and cherished his rights as an American. Bill is survived by five children: William North, Michael North, Richard North, Kimberly Cherniausky, and Jeffrey Cherniausky. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Amarah Hinsman, Gabriel North, William North, Kristina Cherniausky, Alec Cherniausky, and Darren Cherniausky. "I am ready to meet my Maker.
