Walter A. Zelinsky, 85, of Lewiston and formerly of West Bloomfield, MI passed away on Saturday August 6, 2011. Walter was born in Detroit, MI on July 5, 1926, a son of the late Katherine (Wosachlo) and Alex Zelinsky. He served in the US Navy He married the former Margaret McCullough on August 17, 1951 in Detroit. Walter worked for the Royal Oak School District for 17 years. He retired as a Supervisor for the State of Michigan Dept. of Labor. Walter was proud of building the home he retired to in Lewiston, MI. Survived by his wife Margaret of 60 years. Son: Walter Alan Zelinsky of Waterford; Daughters: Kathryn Zelinsky, of Roscommon; Melinda Zelinsky-Kassel, of West Bloomfield; Grandchildren: Erica, Jesse, Heidi, Corrie, and Caitlin Sister: Mary Osborn of White Lake, (Lewiston) MI Nephews: Lee H. Osborn of White Lake, MI Robert A. Osborn of California Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 10, 2011 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lewiston, Michigan, on Wednesday, August 10th, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. with Father David Greka officiating.
