Walter "WAYNE" Brooks

Walter "WAYNE" Brooks, 78, of Grayling, passed away on July 11, 2017. He was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas on February 5, 1939 to the late Albert and Jewell (Sparkman) Brooks. Wayne married Judith Rankin on June 7, 1958 in East Lansing. He retired from the United States Postal Service after serving as Postmaster of Laingsburg Post Office in 1992. Survived by his wife Judy of 59 years. Children: Don and David Brooks of Grayling. Julie Ripley and Mary (Steve) Burt of Bath, Michigan. Grandchildren: Monaca, Judy, Lindsey, Neil, Kayla, and Rosemarie. Brothers: Albert and Phillip Brooks. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Carvin, and sister Laura.
