Thomas Wayne Dawson, 41, of Frederic, MI., passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015. Thomas was born in Garden City, MI on September 24, 1973, son of Thomas and Karen (Ford) Dawson. Thomas enjoyed his family and the farm, music and singing, fishing, video games, golf, disc golf, and was in love with the Detroit Lions and football. He is survived by parents, Thomas and Karen Dawson of Frederic. Children: Devon Dawson of Grayling Tommi Jo Dawson of Roscommon. Life Partner: Bobbi Jo McRath and her children Jeremiah, Xavier, and Jacob McRath of Roscommon Brother: William (Cathy) Dawson of Holly Sisters: Deborah (Paul) Verkest of Minnesota Susan (Dale) Knowlton of Troy Lisa (Jim) Bancroft of Frederic Toni (Joe) Rajkovich of White Lake. Mother of Devon: Amy Dawson Best Friends: Derek and Jon Bancroft of Traverse City. He loved his nieces, nephews and their families. Jon, Ashley, Joey, Jeffery, and Arica Bancroft; Joey and Alexis Rajkovich; Anna Dawson; Theresa, Elizabeth, and Sarah Verkest; Kendra and Beth Knowlton. Preceded in death by his grandparents: Albert and Eileen Moran, Bill and Elsie Dawson, and Corinna Dawson. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Resurrection Life Center between 12:00-2:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Thomas Life beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Joe Jean officiating. In keeping with the theme of "Celebrating" Thomas Life, family and friends are encouraged to wear their Detroit Lions attire.
