Thomas E. ""Coach"" St. Germain

Thomas E. (Coach) St. Germain, 85 , of Grayling passed away on Saturday July 18, 2009. Thomas was born in Baraga, MI. on March 7, 1924, to Chauncey and Ilene (Burke) St. Germain. He served in the Air Force during W.W.II, in Italy. Thomas married the former Marie A. Kakkuri on Dec. 23, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan. He taught and coached in Escanaba, Mi. for 8 years, then taught and coached in Pellston, MI. for 5 years, and then he ended his teaching and coaching career in Grayling with 20 years before retiring. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Grayling. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie St. Germain, his son Thomas S. "Sam" St. Germain and his wife Brenda, his son Gerald S. St. Germain, his daughter Donna M. St. Germain Four grandchildren: Jessica Spero, Jillian St. Germain, Jeff St. Germain, and Erica Bellinger Great grandson: Jase Bellinger. Preceded in death by his parent and a daughter Nancy St. Germain. Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Wednesday July 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Military Honors following.
