Theresa-Ann Minor

November 29, 1968 — October 3, 2024

Theresa-Ann Minor, 55, of Beaver Creek Township, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Theresa was born on November 29, 1968 to William James and Marjorie Elizabeth (Houghton) Cooper in Butler, PA where she resided until she moved to Traverse City, Mi and met the love of her life, Jim! They married in 1988 at Neahtawanta Point and later welcomed three children, eventually moving to Roscommon, Mi. She spent many years working in home health care, adding to the list of many things proving her heart to be big and full of love and light. Theresa was the most caring woman, willing to give someone the shirt off her back and help in any time of need.

Her biggest joy in life was being a mother and a Granny. In her spare time you could find her with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed making crafts, painting and creating art. She was an animal lover, her dogs and cats were beyond spoiled. She loved traveling to the beach, being in the sand and relaxing watching her family play in the water. She especially liked The Outer Banks of North Carolina and the Upper Peninsula, two places she traveled to annually. She enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for her family, every holiday or get together had a well thought out buffet of her delicious and creative dishes. No one went hungry if Theresa was involved.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, James R. Minor, IV; her children, Naomi Dawn (Elizabeth) Raber, James Robert (Callie) Minor, and Kyle William (Macy) Minor; grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas, Mary, Tanner, Arianna, Elijah, James (“Rolly”), Vincent, and Mia; siblings, Cheryl Ann Cooper, James William (Deb) Cooper, David Cooper, John Cooper, and Neil (Tina) Cooper.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her brother-in-law James Morrow and sister-in-law Sue Cooper.

Theresa had a heart of gold, and saw the good in everyone. She was a lover, but a fighter when it came to those she loved. She was the embodiment of beautiful inside and out. To know her was to love her.

A celebration of life will be held October 19, 2024 at the Grayling Assembly of God church from 1-5 pm.
