Grayling, MI Thaddeus Karl DeVries Thaddeus Karl DeVries, 37, of Grayling passed away on Wednesday, September 24th, 2008. Thaddeus was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on February 26, 1971, the son of Karl Marcus and Angelia Kathlen (Andrus) DeVries of Grayling.The family moved to Grayling from the Cedar Springs area in 1984. Thaddeus was a 1990 graduate of Grayling High School He enjoyed walking, riding his bike, friends, riding with Police Officers and was very generous and giving to his friends. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church, he knew and loved the Lord, was confident he was going to Heaven and would want others to know this. He also enjoyed church music. Thaddeus is survived by his parents Karl and Angie. Sister: Kathryn DeVries of Grayling. Brother: Jonathan DeVries of Grayling. Special friend: Harmonie Ponder of Grayling Many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Friday September 26, 2008 between 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P. M. Funeral will be held on Saturday September 27, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Baptist Church located at 1841 Hartwick Pines Rd., Grayling, MI., with Pastor Ernie Wagner officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Grayling. Memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Baptist Church.
