Suzanne Marie Brett

Suzanne “Sue” (Rysso) Brett, age 80, of Grayling, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 with her family by her side. 

Sue was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on March 14, 1944, the daughter of Reuben and Ilmi (Saastamoinen) Rysso. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Al Brett, parents Reuben and Ilmi Rysso, and brothers William and John Rysso. She is survived by her brother Ron (Maureen) Rysso, and nieces and nephews Kathy, Mike, Paul, Eileen, Denise and Debbie. 

Sue graduated from Ishpeming High School, and worked for Zurich Insurance company for many years. Sue resided in Baltimore, Maryland until relocating to Grayling in 2014.

A memorial service will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Saturday, October 5 at 11:00, with visitation beginning at 10:30. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to your favorite charity.
