Sarah Godfrey

Sarah May Godfrey, age 45 of Grayling, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015. Sarah was born on May 21, 1969 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Clifford and Ralphina (Habel) Godfrey. Sarah enjoyed serving others. She was very outgoing and a friend to strangers or anyone who had a need. She had a soft spot for children and never said no when it came to helping them. She would give anonymously and never wanted recognition for her good deeds. Her grandchildren brought her great delight and she cherished every moment spent with them. Sarah was also a member of Moose Lodge #1162 in Grayling. Sarah is survived by her children, Clifford (Samantha) Godfrey and Earl Holbrook; grandchildren, Benjamin and Annabelle Godfrey; siblings, Ralph Mishoe, Carl and Mary and her dear companion until the very end, her dog, Deb. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, J.D. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 1 PM from the Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling, MI.
