Sandra B. Hose, 88, of Grayling and formerly of Houghton Lake passed away peacefully at Grayling Nursing and Rehabilitation Community on November 6, 2024.
Sandra was born to Bryan and Hilda (Foor) Newell on October 15, 1936 in Grayling, Michigan. Sandra loved spending time with her family and friends and she never met a stranger; was always kind and open to meeting new people. She enjoyed bowling, going polka dancing with her husband, and making Christmas cookies for the holidays.
Sandra is survived by children, Kevin Korhonen of Frederic, Kerry Korhonen of Houghton Lake, and Karyn (Michael) Howe of Frederic; step-children, Martha (Allen) Hauch of Houghton Lake, Steaven (Mary Ann) Hose of Houghton Lake, Doris (Gary) Korte of Novi, and Dawn Messenger of Alabama; grandchildren, Jamie, Hailey, David, Kerry, Korey, Troy, Taryn, Stephanie, Denise, Blaine, Deann, Amanda, Meghan, Ashley, Audra, Melissa, Chad, and Matthew; 36 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Lux and Juliette.
Sandra is preceded in passing by her parents, husband Sylvester Hose, Jr., life partner Ted McKee, and all of her brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Sandra's Life will be held at Grayling Eagles, 602 Huron St, Grayling, MI 49738 on Saturday, November 16, from 2:00 - 6:00 PM.
