Ryan Davis

Ryan Davis, 19, of Grayling passed away suddenly in an automobile accident on Saturday, October 21, 2006. He was born March 17, 1987 to Wayne and Jill (Howard) Davis. Ryan graduated from Grayling High School in 2005. He attended Ferris State University for Professional Golf Management, and Kirtland Community College. Ryan was a man who loved his sports. From a very young age and into adulthood he actively participated in baseball, soccer, football, and basketball, but truly loved golf. He played varsity golf all four years of high school, setting records and participating in several state level competitions. In a close second for love of the game, was his passion for baseball of which he also played varsity all four years, adult leagues and the vintage baseball league with his father. Ryan had a cheerful attitude, loved life, and was blessed with many long-time friends. He is survived by his parents, Wayne and (Nancy) Davis, (Brian) and Jill Andersen, all of Grayling; brother, Justin Davis (Mary Wingfield) of Grand Rapids; sisters, Samantha Davis (Mick Clark) of Grayling, Elizabeth Andersen of Lansing; grandmothers, Helen Davis of Warren, Jeanne Carlson of Roscommon, Betty Clark of Mt. Pleasant, Yvonne Andersen of Grayling; grandfather Bruce Andersen of Interlochen; niece and nephew Paige and Aydden Clark of Grayling; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald Davis, Jesse Carlson, Paul Clark, and James Howard; and an uncle, Gary Nettleton. Visitations will be held on Tuesday October 24, 2006 1-4 pm and 6-9 pm. at the Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling. Funeral services will be Wednesday October 25, 2006 at 1:00 pm at the Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church in Grayling with Rev. Carl Davis officiating.
