Ruth Marie Rutter (Rolfe)

Ruth Marie (Rolfe) Rutter, 92, passed away at her residence in Grayling, Michigan on May 11, 2013 with her family present. Ruth grew up in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of George and Florence (Cogan) Rolfe. Ruth graduated from Flint Central in 1938. She met William D. Rutter on a blind date, later marrying him on November 21, 1941. Ruth is survived by three children: William (Linda) Rutter Gayle Mertz Ronald (Lanice) Rutter Grandchildren: Mark (Midge), Susan (Bryan), Deborah (Paul), Jason and Carrah. Great Grandchildren: Eric, Tanner, Meghan, Skylar, Gabriel, and Hunter. Extended Family: Mellisa and Ted, Lloyd and Jennie, Chris and Tim. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the children's department at Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, brother, and son in law. A special thank you to ALL our hospice angels who helped us care for our loved one.
