Ruth E. Golnick

Ruth E. Golnick, 97, of Grayling passed away on Monday, September 3rd, 2007. She was born in Grayling, MI on September 18, 1909, the daughter of the late Paul and Emma (LaMotte) Lovely. She lived most of her life in Grayling and enjoyed tending to her flowers and baking bread. Ruth married William F. Golnick August 23, 1926 in Grayling, Michigan He preceded her in death in 1979 after 53 years of marriage. Ruth was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She is survived by Daughters: Ruth Geraldine 'Gerry' (James) McGaffigan of Blissfield, MI. Dolores June 'Butch' (Charles) Feldhauser of Grayling, MI. Sons: William Frederic 'Fritz' Golnick of Grayling, MI., Harold Walter 'Tike' (Sally) Golnick of Grayling, MI., Robert Bruce 'Bob' (Jeri) Golnick of Grayling, MI., Karl Emil (Karen) Golnick of Grayling, MI. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren. Brothers: Leo E. (Edith) Lovely of Grayling, MI Paul Lovely of Sanford, MI. Sister: Nina Doremire of Grayling, MI Preceded in death by her husband William, an infant daughter Mary Golnick: Sons: Floyd Aubrey Golnick and Claude Anthony 'Buno' Golnick. Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 5, 2007 between 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. There will be a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Grayling, MI, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 6th, 2007 with Father Robert Nalley officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery Grayling, MI. Family request donations to St. Mary's Building Fund, Grayling Nursing Center, or Heartland Hospice.
