Ruth C. Cruz

Ruth C. Cruz, 90, of Grayling, MI., passed away at home on August 2, 2014. Ruth was born in Grayling, MI on October 17, 1923, a daughter of the late Edna (Wythe) and A.P. Feldhauser. She married Jesse Cruz on July 11, 1941 at Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church. They were married for 69 years before he preceded her in death. Ruth was a member of Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a willing servant in many of the churches ministries and generously shared of her time, talents, and possessions. Ruth also volunteered with Meals on Wheels, American Red Cross, and Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and anywhere she saw a need. Survived by Children: Jesse (Audrey Coady) Cruz of Chattanooga, Tennessee Stanley (Claudia) Cruz of St. Louis, MI Jana (Robert) Ring of Rockford, MI Thomas (Carol) Cruz of Big Rapids, MI Grandchildren: Jeffrery & Michael Ring, Kelly Rademacher, Bryan Cruz, Karli Kimmel, Chad Cruz, Sarah (David) Erhardt and Joshua Cruz. Great-grandchildren: Olivia & Jacob Rademacher, Cameron Cruz, Naomi Ring, Aiden Cruz, & Evan Kimmel, Adalyn Erhardt. Sisters: Marguerite Bryant of Mio and Wilma Roth of Bay City Sister in law: Dolores (Butch) Feldhauser of Grayling and Maryanne Feldhauser of Florida. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Jesse; 5 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be held at Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 between 9:30 -11:00 a.m. Funeral service will follow visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard E. Burstall officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to Mercy Hospital Auxillary.
