Russell Edwin Shepard, 84 of Grayling, MI passed away in the comfort of his family on February 7, 2021.
Russell was born to Gerald and Ila (Foulds) Shepard in Bath, MI on September 27, 1936. Russ received a B.A. in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University in 1955. He enjoyed helping his community through his involvement with Ducks Unlimited and the Lions Club. He was an outdoor enthusiast and spent a great deal of time taking walks and enjoying the beauty of nature around him.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 63 years Marja Lee Shepard. He is survived by his brother Jim, sisters Mary (Warren) Faloon and Linda Cogswell; children, Lee Ann Dunckley and Rusty (Jackie) Shepard; six grandchildren, Brian (Kelly), Michelle (Joe), Christi, Emily, Rachael and Sydney; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
