Rose Mary Dunlop, 89, of Grayling, passed away on June 30, 2023. She was born on February 2, 1934 in Detroit to the late Loren and Irene (Newman) Mathers.
Rose enjoyed singing, dancing, and going for walks. She liked visiting her family. Rose attended St. Mary Catholic Church. She was known for her clever right turn only driving skills. Rose was considered the family story teller, of good ole family history. She was happy to be part of 5 generations.
Rose is survived by her brother-in-law, Frank Stanislovaitis; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (Gary) Pillon, Loren (Barbara) Mathers, Helen St. Onge, Frank (Kathy) Stanislovaitis, Larry (Leesa) Stanislovaitis, Martha (Nick) Christopher, David Mathers, Joe (Diane) Mathers, John (Bridget) Mathers, Suzy Mathers, Ronnie Mathers, Sandy Mathers, Phyllis Johnson, Marvin (Jamie) Frey, Steven (Christine Hitchcock) Frey, Mike (Lori) Gambrel, Monica (Rick) Dent, Mary Ellen Nowlin, Michelle (James) Ward, Mark (Ruth) Wilkerson, Danny (Raquel) Wilkerson, and Patty Pease; 50 great nieces and nephews; 58 great-great nieces and nephews; and 3 great-great-great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her previous husband, Willis Dunlop; brothers, Jack, Bob, Joe, and Frank; sisters, Patricia, Margaret, and Geraldine; niece Linda; great niece Christine; and great nephew, Joshua.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, July 14, 2023, 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church in Grayling, MI followed by interment at Elmwood Cemetery with Father Jerry Hunko Officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Grayling Eagles.
