Roger L. Buskirk

Roger L. Buskirk, 64, of Grayling passed away on Saturday, September 26th, 2009. Roger was born in Ypsilanti, MI on May 28, 1945, the son of the late Graden Ellis and Leatha (Enness) Buskirk. He grew up in McBride, MI. He served in the U.S. Army. Roger retired from GM in 1995. He worked as a forklift driver in the parts division of the SPO Plant in Lansing. He married his wife Gloria in May of 2009. Roger loved to golf, enjoyed the outdoors, was a Lionel train collector, had a creative knack for woodworking projects and basically enjoyed tinkering around his home and yard. He loved all sports, especially the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. Roger was a member of Grayling Eagles and Grayling Country Club. Survived by his wife Gloria Daughter: Tina (Craig) Pung of Lyons. Daughter in law: Brandi Buskirk of Lyons. Son: Scott Brandy) Buskirk of Lansing. Grandchildren: Allison, Shana,Dakota, Austin, Lexie, and Chloe Brothers: Meredith & Gerald Buskirk Cats: Bonnie & Clyde Preceded in death by his parents and son Kevin. Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 30, 2009 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home with Celebration of Roger's Life beginning at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 30th, 2009.
