Robert Pollman

Robert Ervin Pollman, 83, of Grayling passed away on Monday, April 26th, 2010. Robert was born in Detroit, MI on March 17, 1927, the son of the late Ervin Carl and Susan (Gelbman) Pollman. He served in the US Navy as a B-M 3rd Class in WW II. Robert married the former Helen M. Hepfer on January 16, 1976. The were married for 31 years before she preceded him in death in 2007. He was retired from Michigan State Police where he worked from 1950-1976. He retired as a Detective Lieutenant. Robert was a finished carpenter and enjoyed wood carving, golf and all sports. Survived by: Daughters: Karen Preston of Nashville, TN Ann (Dave Marsh) Miller of Lansing Susie (Eric Malcolm) of Lansing DeDe (Gary) Owen of Ann Arbor, MI Sons: Mark Pollman of Houston,Texas Gary (Colleen) Miller of DeWitt, MI 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren A Celebration of Robert's Life will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Monday May 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Thomas H. Slykerman, Chaplain from Mercy Hospital officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by American Legion Post #106.
