Robert Emerson

Robert Emerson, 80, of Mio, MI., passed away on March 17, 2017. Robert was born in Detroit, MI on August 12, 1936, a son of the late E. Pauline (Doolittle) and Angus Emerson. Bob married Nancy Lee Algeo on December 29, 1956. They were married for 55 years before she preceded him in death in 2011. Bob enjoyed his family, taking care of his pond and landscaping his property. He was a businessman, owning and operating a variety of businesses over the years. The last business venture he and his wife Nancy worked together on was Emerson Sales in Mio between 1972-1990. bob was one of the founders of AuSable Valley Trail Groomers. He was also a lifetime member of the F & AM of Walled Lake. Survived by his children: Kelly (Terry) Vandecar of Grayling and Robert "Bruce" (Pamela) Emerson of Fowlerville. Grandchildren: Amy (Steve) Torres, Heather Vandecar, Leslie Emerson, Amber Emerson, Rebecca (Kim) E-Panther. Great grandsons: Owen Carney and Liam Mellor. There will be no public services.
