Rita Sarrault (Loewen)

Rita E. Sarrault, 89, of Grayling passed away on Saturday January 15, 2011. Rita was born in Detroit, MI on April 25, 1921, the daughter of the late Norbert and Alma (Lewand) Loewen. She married Ralph J. Sarrault. on September 24, 1947 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Detroit,Michigan He preceded her in death on August 10, 1986. Rita and her husband previously owned and operated the Frederic Inn for 16 years. She worked in the office at AuSable-Manistee Real Estate and Main Stream Realty in Grayling. Rita was very involved in the Auxiliary of Mercy Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she also served as president of Council of Catholic Women and was involved in many church projects. Rita also hosted Bingo for residents of Mercy Manor for many years. Survived by Brothers: Wilfred (Lorraine) Loewen of Clawson, MI., Clarence (Shirley) Loewen of Warren, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday January 20, 2011 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 20th, 2011 with Rev. Joseph Blasko officiating.
