Richard Grant Schnoor

Richard Grant Schnoor, 78, of Grayling, MI passed away Friday, April 25, 2014. Richard was born to Grant and Lucille Schnoor April 13, 1936 in New Baltimore, MI. He served in the Army from 1960 to 1962. Richard married Donna Richez May 30, 1972 in Mt. Clemens. Richard worked as a heavy equipment operator. He loved fishing, duck hunting, and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed riding cutting horses, 79' red Ford trucks and Broncos, going to the U.P., snowplowing, and he liked to make people laugh. Richard is survived by his wife Donna Schnoor; son Shawn (Samantha) Schnoor; sister Sally Friday; 4 brothers-in-law Herbert Melkert and niece Amanda Melkert, Edmund Richez Jr., Jay(Pam) Richez, and Robert (Kathy) Richez; sister-in-law Constance (Michael) Dennis; father-in-law Edmund Richez; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Richard is preceded in death by both parents Grant and Lucille Schnoor; sister Dorothy Melkert; brother-in-law Earl Friday; mother-in-law Mary Alice Richez; and sister-in-law Susan Richez. Visitation and services are planned for Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Heritage Baptist Church in Grayling, MI. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service starting at 1:00 p.m. In leiu of flowers, donations can be made to Mercy Hospice and/or Alzheimer's Association.
