Richard Marvin Miner

Richard Marvin Miner passed away peacefully on January 2, 2024 at the age of 75. 

Richard was born in Detroit, MI to Melvin and Ruth (Ferry) Miner on August 20, 1948. He had a wonderful sense of humor and had many names for everyone. He had a strong character and purpose. He was an influential man who was strong, courageous, consistent, loving, caring and very giving. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Until we all meet again.

Richard is survived by his wife Kathleen (Smith) Miner. Siblings: Sue Ann Jeske, Melvin Alan (Patricia) Miner, Janice Ruth (Larry) Opris, Nancy Elizabeth (Gregory) Dorman, Cathy Mae (Richard) Meier, and Barbara Lynn (Guy) Thurston. Brother-in-law: William Smith and sister-in-law: Mary Lou (James) Rosinski; his fur baby Sadie; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceded in death by brother: Gary Miner, sister-in-law: Carol Peters, and brother-in-law: Ted Smith.

A Gathering of Family and Friends to Remember Richard will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 at 9:30 am to 12:00 PM with Military Honors to take place at 11:00 AM.
