Philinus Casper Gross, 95, of Grayling, MI and formerly Houghton Lake passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015. He was born in Owosso, MI on June 27, 1919, a son of the late Rosa (Amman) and Peter Gross. He married Pauline Hebeler on June 21, 1941. She preceded him in death in 2003 after 52 years of marriage. He was retired from Ford Motors after 30 years of service where he worked as a medic. He enjoyed hunting, tinkering, and enjoyed "fixing" things. Philinus was devoted to his Catholic Faith, a member of Men's Club at St. Hubert's of Higgins Lake, Knights of Columbus, and St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survived by his children: Dianne (Mike) Branch of Grayling, Gary (Mary) Gross of Roscommon, Denise (Donald) Smith of Riverview, Son in law: Tom (Edda) LaFramboise, 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his daughter, Janet LaFramboise. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grayling with Rev.
