Perthena Grace Gunton (Ingram)

Mrs. Perthena Grace Gunton (nee Ingram), aged 85, left this life on earth and was welcomed home into the arms of the Lord on Monday, May 18, 2009. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; and her sisters; Lena, Helen, Clara, Bertha and Vera. She is survived by her sisters; Geraldine French and Merna (Lynn) Cota, her brothers; Lloyd (Gerry) Ingram and Hubert (Leota) Ingram. She will be missed by her daughters, Patricia (Mike)Vargo of Fort Myers, Florida and Judy (Verlon) Rogers of Ada, Michigan. Memories of "Mema" and "Gram" will be cherished by her many grandchildren, Michelle Vargo of Lake Orion, Michigan, Mark (Jodi) Vargo of Rochester, Michigan, Stacy (Christian) Meisner of Deep River, Connecticut, Todd (Claire) Rogers of Kentwood, Michigan, Jennifer (Brian) Radaz of Rockford, Michigan, and Meagon (Darrin) Oliver of Middleville, Michigan. Perthena loved spending time with all her family and especially her great grandchildren, Chad & Cory Vargo, Dain & Jade Vargo, Jackson & Rowen Meisner, Christopher, Collin & Nathan Rogers, Travis, Gage, Tate & Raegan Radaz, and Jalen & Ainsley Oliver. Perthena enjoyed giving to others in so many ways. She enjoyed cooking, bowling, dancing but more than anything, she enjoyed sitting on her front porch in Grayling, Michigan watching the river and the birds. A "Celebration of Perthena's Life" will start with a visitation at on Wednesday May 20, 2009 between 10:00 - 12:00 and funeral service to follow at 12:00 at Sorenson Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling, Michigan.
