Peggy Jane Hamrick

Peggy Jane Hamrick, 95, of Grayling, Michigan passed away July 6, 2022.

Peggy was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan. She graduated from Sexton High School and attended Michigan State University. She spent the last 40 years living in Grayling, Michigan.

Peggy was an outdoors person, and very athletic. She loved to water ski, downhill ski, and was riding her bike and cross country skiing into her 80’s. She was fond of collecting things, from antiques to rocks to Baby Beans dolls. She never passed up a garage sale!

Most of all she was a dedicated and loving mother and gave the best hugs. If you introduced a friend to Peggy and J. Lee they immediately treated them like family.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, J. Lee Hamrick, and her father and stepmother, J. Roy McBride and Betty McBride. She is survived by her children Terry (Cherry) Hamrick, Rick Hamrick, and Babs ( Garry) Smith; two grandchildren, Utah (Jenny Beavers) and Lacey (Jeremy) Freeman; and great grandchildren Robert Freeman, Taylor Freeman, Jacob Beavers, and Chloe Beavers.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Munson Crawford Continuing Care for their dedication and kindness in caring for Peggy this past year.
