Pati Lee Newton, 70, of Grayling, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Pati was born on January 26, 1945 in Detroit to the late Fred and Gloria Shirley. Pati enjoyed outdoor activities like hunting, fishing and gardening, and also shooting pool and various crafts. She most loved time spent with her family and grandchildren. Pati was a generous and giving person of her time, talents and love. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, AmVets Auxiliary, and Moose Lodge. Pati was the soul mate and companion of Mike Hettinger for over 26 years. They were business partners for 22 years of PLN Tax Service in Grayling. Pati is survived by Michael Hettinger of Grayling; Children, Adam Kurt Jameson of Taylor, Dawn Marie Jameson of Fenton, Diane Lynn (Mel) Anderson of Canon City, CO, and Michael (Monica) Hettinger, Jr. of San Diego, CA; 13 Grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; Sisters, Phyllis, Niki, and Connie; Brothers, Niles, Fred, Eric, and Dennis. She is preceded in death by her parents; Daughter, Tammie Jo Jameson; Grand daughter, Heaven; Great grand daughter, Piper; and Sister, Billie Jo. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at www.sorensonlockwood.com.
