Orville Ray Adolph, 92, of Grayling, MI, passed away on September 1, 2015. Orville was born in West Branch , Michigan on January 10, 1923, a son of the late Harriet (Furman ) and Frank Adolph. He served in the U.S. Army as a Master Sgt. during World War II. Orville retired from General Motors in 1976 after 28 years of employment. He was married to Dollie (Bielert, Root) Adolph on February 7, 1976 in Flint. Orville was a hard worker, great gardener, built many homes, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Mt. Hope Lutheran Church . Survived by his wife Dollie of 39 years. Children: Patrick (Roberta) Adolph of Grayling; Nancy (Bill) Swope of Adrian; Dale (Donna) Adolph of Ithaca; Keith (Sherry) Adolph of White Lake; Patricia (Pamela Betts) Adolph of Shepherd; Diane Chilcutt of California' Dorene Root of Ludington. Grandchildren: Darien (Jennifer) Adolph; Dwayne (Jenna) Adolph; Tom (Maria) Burnham; Tim (Nikki) Burnham; Kyle (Jessica); Camille Adolph; and Stacy Harrison 16 great grandchildren. Sisters-in-law: Betty and Francine Adolph. Orville was greatly loved by the extended Bielert families. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Edward, Gerald, Eugene, and Steven Adolph; and daughter Darlene Root. Visitation will be held at Sorenson -Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling on Friday, September 4, 2015 between 4:30-8:00 p.m. and Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church with Rev. Todd Brunworth officiating. Interment will be at Flint Memorial Park . Public is invited to join the family at the Flint Memorial Park Chapel on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m..
