Oran Frank Fairbanks

Oran Frank Fairbanks, 70, of Grayling, passed away onThursday, May 24th, 2007. He was born in Detroit, MI on March 29, 1937, the son of the late Kenneth L. and Margaret (Hummel) Fairbanks. Oran retired in 1996 from at Detroit Diesel Corporation after 31 years. He also worked at Glen's market after moving to Grayling in 1994, coming from Farmington Hills.. He married the former Beverly Dey on January 7, 1961 in Detroit, MI. Oran was know for his sensitivity and enjoyed working with flowers. Survived by his wife Beverly of 46 years. Daughter: Mary Boyne of Grayling, MI. Son: Michael (Ana) Fairbanks of Dexter, Michigan. Grandchildren: April, Kevin, Josh, Anarella, & Angela Visitation will be held on Saturday May 26, 2007 between 1-5pm. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Funeral Service at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Saturday, May 26th, 2007 at 5:00 pm with Mary Beth Brady, Bereavement Coordinator of Mercy Hospice officiating. Interment will be at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi on Tuesday May 29, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice.
