Nicholas Levi Bunker

Nicholas “Nick” Levi Bunker, 32 of Fredric MI passed away suddenly Saturday, September 28, 2019.  He was born in Grayling, MI April 19, 1987 to Howard Levi Bunker Jr. and Jeannine (Wilder).  He spent his first years living with his paternal grandparents, Howard Bunker Sr. and Barbara in Grayling, MI; later he was raised in Fredric, MI with his father, Howard and Sally (Armstrong) Bunker.

He worked at Northern Pure Ice Company of Grayling and in construction as a laborer/dry wall hanger & finisher. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, many types of motorsports, and bon fires with friends and family. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his children.

He is survived by his grandmother Barbara Bunker, father Howard Levi Bunker Jr., mother Jeannine Santiago, step-mothers Sally Tomes and Kristy Koronka; Megan Ballor, mother to his children, Braxton Levi Bunker 10, McKenna Paige Bunker 6, and Jemma Ann Bunker 4;  siblings Levi Bunker, Brittney Harris, Marriah Armstrong, Sky Burk, an additional half-brother and half-sister in NC; Heather (Helsel) Bunker; a large extended family and many friends that cared for and loved him deeply.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Howard “Junior” Levi Bunker Sr. and his maternal grandparents Bernard and Ruth Wilder.  A visitation will be held Sunday, October 6th from 12:00 am to 2:00 pm with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in the Spring/Summer of 2020 at Elmwood Cemetery in Grayling, MI.  

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions/donations be made directly to Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home to offset service expenses the day of service or online at www.sorensonlockwood.com on the obituary page.
