Nancy Jean Stewart (Porter)

Nancy Jean Stewart 60, of Grayling, MI formerly of Detroit passed away on Thursday July 28, 2011. She fought a valiant fight against breast cancer for six years. She was born on May 22, 1951 to Beverly Porter in the Detroit area. Nancy is survived by her loving husband Jack Stewart and mother Beverly Porter-Fetting both of Grayling. Sisters: Karen Porter of Grayling and Julie Ryther of St. Clair Shores, MI. Children: Sue Hamilton of St. Clair Shores, MI and Dan Shute of Virginia Beach, VA. Step-children: Craig Stewart, Mary Stewart, Jim Stewart, and Elizabeth Long. And not to be forgotten the two rescued dogs from Hudson FL.Ginger and Gracie. She was a lover of all animals' big and small domestic and wild. She had great joy in feeding the Sugar Babies (flying squirrels) and other critters. She rescued more strays then can be listed.
