Myrna Lee Restainer, 77 of Grayling, passed away on November 27, 2015 with family at her side. Myrna was born on April 29, 1938 to Donna (Hoard) and Floyd Valentine in Lansing. Her husband of forty-one years, Eugene, and daughter Lynnette precede her in death. In the early 1970's, Myrna, Eugene, and their children often vacationed in Grayling; camping at Pine Knoll Campground. By the mid 1970's, they decided to purchase land in Grayling and began building their future home. In 1981, they permanently relocated to Grayling, where Myrna lived the rest of her life. Myrna had strong family values, and she valued every member of her immediate and extended family. Often times you would find grandchildren, cousins, brothers, or sisters at her house. She loved music, Elvis, playing cards, great conversation, and coffee; all of which you could always get while visiting. She leaves behind her children Debra McKrill (Brian) of Milwaukie, OR, Faith Ann Ellis of Grand Ledge, MI, Tamara Ellis of Gaylord, MI, Charles Ellis of Wacousta, MI, Joni Dunckel (Michael) of Dundee, OR, Jeannie Restainer of Grayling, MI, and grandson Dustin Ellis of Roscommon, MI. One of her greatest joys in life was her twelve grandchildren as she was such a large part of their lives. Grandchildren include: Angela, Gregory, Chadwick, Brooke, Shane, Anna, Lindsey, Matthew, Nicholas, Mikayla, and Brianna. She also had seven great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Myrna's life will be held on Sunday December 13, 2015 at 1:30pm at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling. The Family will receive guests from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. There will be a luncheon at the Grayling Eagles Club following the service. In the true spirit of Myrna, and her feeling that no child should go without, we ask that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Crawford County Christian Help Center PO Box 1115 Grayling MI 49738. Condolences may be sent to www.sorensonlockwood.com Arrangements by Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home.
