Mitchell “Mitch” Alan Linendoll, 62, of Roscommon, originally of Grayling, Mich., passed away quietly on Monday, September 9, 2024 and has gone to be with his Lord.
Mitch was born to John and Shirley Linendoll on November 25, 1961 in Grayling, Mich. He lived with spina bifida but never let it hold him back.
Mitch was baptized and confirmed at Mount Hope Lutheran Church where he was also an active member for many years. Mitch served in the hand bell choir and assisted with the food truck services, among other activities.
He graduated from Grayling High School in 1979 and went on to attend college at Concordia University - Ann Arbor and Mid MichiganCommunity College.
Mitch spent many years as an employee of C.F. Fick and Sons in Grayling and he loved technology. Whenever a new gadget came out, Mitch was sure to be one of the first to try it. This led to his love of computers and computer repair, which was his hobby for a number of years.
He was also a volunteer at Grayling Mercy Hospital, giving back to patients and healthcare professionals that helped him.
Mitch loved sports, honing this passion as a wrestling team assistant in high school and cheering for his beloved Michigan sports teams,the Detroit Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and University of Michigan Wolverines.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Shirley, grandparents Harry and Esther Hoerl, and uncle and aunt James and Joyce Kolka.
He is survived by his sister, Sheri (Michael) Aumann of White Bear Lake, Minn., his nephews and niece, Brandon (Laura) Aumann, Blaine (Trisha) Aumann and Chelsea (Zach) Goodrich and two great nephews, Abel and Asher Aumann.
He is also survived by extended family members, Lynn (Bill) Richmond, Nancy (Jim) Hatfield and Kurt J. (Diane) Kolka, along with Anna (Curt) Ifrig, Jacob Morris, Heather Hatfield, Travis (Shantina) Hatfield and Rebekah Kolka.
Visitation will be held at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church, 905 I-75BL, Grayling, MI 49738 on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the beginning of the funeral service at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Pastor Kurt Klingbeil.
