Mary Jane Thayer

Mary Jane Thayer , 87, of Grayling, MI, passed away on October 25, 2015. Mary Jane was born in Flint, MI on May 12, 1928, the daughter of the late Lula (Husted) and Clark Sherman. She married Art Thayer on October 17, 1979 in Grayling. Mary Jane and Art traveled all over the United States and Canada in their Airstream Trailer. They also enjoyed winter trips to Florida. Mary Jane retired from Mercy Hospital where she worked as a Nurse Aid. She will be fondly remembered by her special friends from Mercy; Mary Lee Butcher, Martie Reichelderfer, Maureen Hayes, and Gail Hunter. Survived by her husband Art of 36 years. Daughter: Allison (Mark) Walkowski of St.Charles. Joel Thayer of Manistee Jan Thayer of Grayling Linda (Richard) Timmer of Tennessee Julee (Steve) Houlton of Alaska Sherrill (Robert MacInnis) Thayer of Grayling April (Gil) Ashton of Grayling 19 Grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
