Mary Georgina Schuon

Mary Georgina Schuon, 97, of Frederic, Michigan, formerly of Stockbridge, Michigan, passed away December 7, 2015 at home with her family. Mary was born on September 3, 1918 in Salvage, Newfoundland. She immigrated to the United States in 1926. She married Arthur H. Schuon in 1940. She is survived by Daughter: Susan (Garry) Cox; Son in law: Lon Sexton; Grandchildren: Tonya (Jim) Anderson, Trina Morse, Trista (JP) Blonshine, Tara (Dave) Robinson, Tasha (Jared) Farmer, and Zachary Cox; numerous great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews in Newfoundland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; daughter, Carolyn Sexton; and granddaughter, Theresa Kull. Mary loved taking care of her family this included cooking and baking, and she was well known for her desserts. Her love of cooking was passed down to three generations: her daughters, granddaughters, and great-granddaughters. She also enjoyed knitting, quilting and basket making over the years. A Memorial service will be held on December 12, 2015 at 11:00 am with a luncheon to follow, at First Baptist Church, 6536 Manistee St, Frederic, MI 49733.
