Mary Helen "May" Blackmer (McDonnell)

Mary Helen (May) Blackmer, 91, of Grayling, MI passed away on Saturday July 27, 2013. Mary was born in Scotland on April 8, 1922, the daughter of the late Mary (McLaughlin) and Daniel McDonnell. She was married to Leonard G. Blackmer who preceded her in death in 1992 Mary was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a volunteer for American Red Cross, and a member of the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary for over 34 years. Survived by Daughters in law: Jan Blackmer and Nancy Blackmer Grandchildren: Lisa, Beth, Eric, Brenda, Michelle, Kim, Nicole, Kelly and Jim Great grandchildren: Kristi, Brendan, Evan, Chloe, Morgan, and Makenna Preceded in death by her husband Leonard and sons Daniel and Timothy Blackmer. Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 30, 3013 between 3-7 p.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday July 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
