Mary L. Galloway, 80, of Grayling passed away on Thursday, August 6th, 2009. Mary was born in Flint, MI on September 21, 1928, the daughter of the late Lyle and Arlene A. (Riley) Gannon. Mary is remembered as a person that loved kids, was giving, supportive, and helpful. Mary was a school bus driver for 32 years for Crawford AuSable School District. She was also a Deputy Matron for the Crawford County Sheriff Dept. She was a member and served as a officer of the Moose Lodge. Survived by Daughters: Carolyn (Ralph) Helsel of NC. Thelma Galloway of NC. Son: John (Tina) Galloway Jr. of KY. Grandchildren: Greg (Nancy) Helsel, Kim (Joe) VanNuck, Janice (Jim) Smith, Brittnay (Steve) Fischer, and Steve Galloway. Great grandchildren: Todd, Nick, Amanda, Dillon, Joey, Parker, & Hunter. Mary enjoyed and appreciated the "Monday Girls Lunch Group". Mary's family deeply appreciates the friendship,help, and support given to her by a special friend, Vern Hoag. A private family memorial gathering was held and there are no public services planned.
