Mary Theresa Bonkowski (Ritz)

Mary Theresa Bonkowski, 99, of Grayling passed away on Friday October 19, 2012. Mary was born in Bridgeport, CT on August 27, 1913, daughter of the late Mary (Popp) and John Ritz. She married William J. Bonkowski, Sr. on May 3, 1932. He preceded her in death in 1978 after 46 years of marriage. Mary was retired from Chrysler. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church Grayling, MI 49738. Mary served for 35 years on the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. Survived by her son,William J. (Jackie) Bonkowski, Jr., of Grayling, MI. Grandchildren: William J. Bonkowski III of Grayling Mary Jo (Michael) Fullerton of Acme She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and two sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Grayling, MI, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23rd, with Rev. Robbie Deka officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mercy Manor Activity Fund or AuSable Valley Animal Shelter. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
