Mark was born in Detroit, MI on February 12, 1960 to Norman Alfred and Bonnie Jean (Walling) Potvin. Mark loved his grandchildren and they were everything to him. He enjoyed playing guitar, being outdoors, and camping. He also enjoyed talking to people about the Bible. He called those talks Bible truths. Mark was a devout Jehovah's Witness. He was a member of the Roscommon Congregation Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Mark is survived by his wife Sheryl of 38 years; children, Matthew (Sara) Potvin and Patricia (Chris Smith) Potvin; grandchildren, Malachi, Emma, and Christopher; sister, Wendy Potvin; and brothers, Greg Potvin, Dennis (Mary) Potvin, and Norm (Shelley) Potvin. He preceded in death by his sister Marcia, brother Fred and his parents.
