Marie A. Dean (Samardich)

Marie A. Dean, 85, of Grayling, formerly of Kalkaska's life journey ended October 11, 2010. Her life journey began on January 29, 1925, to the late Marko and Suzanne Samardich in Coello, IL. She was a wife to the late Herbert Dean and a mom to her children Susan (Don) Austin of Bellaire, Linda Worth of Kalkaska and Larry (Debbie) of Incline Village, Nevada, who all survive her. Marie's garden in her life was her family. She was a wonderful "Gram" to Anne (Tom) Ziel of Pigeon, Eileen (Corey) Bailey of St. Louis, Lynne (Brad) Hawes of Haslett, Christie (Brian) Sydow of Kalkaska, April, Scott, Katie, and Larry Olsen of Incline Village, Nevada. She was a fun, loving "Mimi" to her great grandchildren. Bill (Krista) Comai of Fernandia Beach, FL.,Alyssa Comai of Cass City, Sage Ziesmer of Kalkaska, Nole, Dean, and Chelsea Bailey and Gabriel, Zach, Ashley, and Josiah Hawes. She is also survived by a sister, Nancy Willets, brother Donald (Anita) Samardich, sisters in law Marianne Samardich and Joanne Samardich and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her sister Delores Chelovich, and brothers John, Charles, Mark, and Tony and a granddaughter Sue. Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 13, 2010 between 2-4 PM. and 6-8 p.m. at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home, Grayling, MI, with Minister Brad Hawes officiating. Interment will be at Lodi Cemetery in Kalkaska County.
