Lovell Monnie Nephew

Monnie Nephew, 83, of Grayling, MI passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015. His wife and family were by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord. He was born to Francis and Lorna Nephew in Lovells, Michigan on January 23, 1932. Monnie was a prominent business man in Grayling. As a young man he served in the U.S. Navy for 8 years aboard the USS Leyette. He was a member of Michelson United Methodist Church, Eagles, The Moose, and The American Legion. He really enjoyed reading his Bible and spending time with his family, friends, and loved ones. He loved Lovells, MI where he was born, walking in the woods and scaring squirrels away from his beloved bird feeder. Monnie is survived by his wife, Patricia Nephew; children, David, Gary, Doug, Terry, Debbie, Allen and Renee; brother, Frank Nephew; sister, Lorna Ferret; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, June 11th at Michelson Memorial Methodist Church from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The funeral service will follow immediately after visitation with Reverend Richard Burstall officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
