Linda Lee Dole

Linda L. Dole, 75, of Gaylord, passed away on May 11, 2017. Linda was born in Harrison, Michigan on September 25, 1941, to the late Merrill and Margaret (Dunkle) McQuiston. She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, canning, and cooking and loved football. Her husband Gerald Dole preceded her in death in 1997 after 36 years of marriage. Survived by her children: Mark Dole of Boyne City; Rebecca Santee of Maryland; Carmen (Pete)Stehouwer of Grand Rapids; Lisa (Kurt Danforth) Dole of Charlevoix; Tony (Melissa) Dole of Frederic; and Mickey Dole of Jackson. Linda is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Larry (Linda) McQuiston of Farwell; and a sister, Marilyn (Dick)Graham of Washington. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters, Janet Murdoch and Sally McQuiston. Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling on Thursday, May 18, 2017 beginning at 11:00 a.m., up until the time of her service that begins at 12:00 noon.
