Linda Dorothea Chism 71, was called home to Heaven on July 30, 2021, after a brave fight with cancer. Linda was born to the Raymond and Natalie Weaver on October 17, 1949, in Grayling Michigan.
Linda cherished the simple yet priceless things in life. She valued personal relationships over material things. She was a dedicated and loyal wife, mother, and friend who put the needs of others before her own. She unconditionally loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart and encouraged them to be the best they could be.
Time was precious to Linda, and she spent every free moment building lifelong memories and friendships with all who were blessed to know her. She was compassionate, faithful, kind, and funny. Linda never missed a day calling her children and family to tell them how much she loved them. All these actions told the greater story of who Linda was; a small-town woman yes, but one who cherished more than anything the precious time shared with family.
Linda is survived by her husband Roger; her daughter Tara, (husband Paul), and their kids Madison and Lilly; her son Dan (wife Lauri), and kids Bradley, Daniel, and Connor; great granddaughter Raelyn. Step kids, Rhonda and Matt Chism, Michelle, Tiffany, and Shannon Adams. Her sister Karen Sabbagh with husband Harry and kids; and brother Steve with wife Liz and kids.
In departing this earth, Linda leaves us all with a great gift…if we have the wisdom and heart to openly accept it. It’s the gift of learning to forgive, to love others unconditionally despite their flaws, and perhaps the richest gift of all, having great compassion for others in thinking and doing for them before herself. Consider embracing Linda’s wonderful gift.
Linda will be greeted in Heaven by her parents and late husband Jim Adams.
