Lillian Annette Houghton, 94, of Grayling passed away on Sunday, January 6th, 2008. Lillian was born in Grayling, MI on July 27, 1913, the daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Olsen) Ahman. She graduated from Grayling High School in 1931. Lillian married Nyland I. Houghton who preceded her in death in 1954. She lived most of her life in Grayling. Her family owned and operated the Mobile AuSable Service Station for many years. Lillian was a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church of Grayling. Life member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter #83 of Grayling and a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem Chapter #61 of Houghton Lake, Lillian is survived by: Son:Bob Houghton of Grayling, MI. Niece: Gwen Sievert of Grayling Nephews:Dennis, Alan, Paul, & Glen Richardson. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister: Astrid Richardson, and her brother: Henry Ahman Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home on Wednesday January 9, 2007 between 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9th, 2008. Eastern Star and White Shrine of Jerusalem memorial service will be held and Pastor David Blake will officiate the funeral service. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Grayling in Spring 2008.
