Leota "Oats" Marie (Haemmerlein) Ingram, age 87, of Grayling, went home to be with the Lord on April 10, 2010. She was born in Unionville, MI on June 19, 1922. Leota married in 1941 and had two children, Dianne and Robert. She later married Hubert Ingram in January of 1957 and had one child, Penny. She graduated from Beecher High School in 1941 and lived in that area for much of her life. She worked several years at Beecher Department Store and later at Fisher Body Ternstedts for 15 years. She retired with her husband to Grayling in 1978. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Eagles and the American Legion for over 30 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Hubert of Grayling; daughter Dianne (Ray) Lancaster of Flint; son Robert (Ruth) Marshall of Flushing and daughter Penny (Dave) O'Toole of St. Charles. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandkids and one great great grandson; siblings Viola Rushton, Eldon Haemmerlein and Joyce Harrison. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lila and Roy Haemmerlein; brothers, Lovell and Marvin Haemmerlein; a sister, Delores Visnaw and a grandson, Noah Lancaster. Funeral services will be held 1:pm Wednesday , April 14th at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Grayling. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held in Grayling at the Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home from 4-8pm Tuesday with a rosary at 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church or Mercy Hospice. A special thanks to Mercy Hospice and dear friend in Christ, Patti Quinlan.
