Leonard Merle Knutson

Leonard Merle Knutson, 100, of Grayling, MI passed away peacefully January 11, 2019. Leonard was born January 14, 1918 in Cumberland, WI to the late Critsen and Christina (Dalby) Knutson. He married Elsa Ronata (Diedrich) Knutson February 19, 1941 in Chaska, MN. They lived happily in Fenton until they moved to Grayling in 1980. Leonard has always enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, and carpentry. Leonard is survived by his wife of 77 years, Elsa Knutson; children, Larry (Carin) Knutson of Mt. Vernon, TX, Barbara Knutson of Fenton, MI, Martin Knutson of Dallas, TX, and Karen (Arthur) Orme of Flushing, MI; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Eugene Knutson. Funeral services will take place Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home at 2 PM with visitation before from 12 - 2 PM.
