Laurine Rosemary Kraus (age 80) of Grayling, Michigan passed away on March 4, 2019. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 15, 1938, the daughter of the late Albert and Alida Keller. She married Emil L. Kraus in Detroit in 1968, and they were married for 40 years. He preceded her in death in 2008. Laurine worked as a legal secretary in Detroit until her marriage to Emil. They soon moved to Grayling Michigan where for 30 years, Emil and Laurine owned and operated various businesses. Laurine was a Past President of the American Business Women's Association, member of St. Mary's Ladies Club and member of the Lioness Club of Grayling. She also served on the Board of Directors of Citizens Banking Corporation for 24 years. She is survived by her loving daughters, Catherine (Jeff) Calvin grandchildren Alexander and Madeline of Granger, Indiana and Margaret Warkentien grandchildren Rachel, Jennifer, Katelyn, James, Sophia and Matthew of Jenison, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her dear sisters Mary Arms of St. Clair Shores, Michigan and Joanne Keller of Detroit, Michigan. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grayling, Michigan with Father Jerry Hunko officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Grayling. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Christian Help Center and/or River House Shelter. Arrangements by Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home.
