Kenneth E. Thomson, 81, passed away Nov. 9, 2010 in Grayling after an extended illness. He was born Jan. 1, 1929 to Edward and Blanche Thomson in St. Clair and graduated from St. Clair High School. Ken was an avid hunter and fisherman. He worked with the forestery service in Grayling as a young man before moving and working for Thunder Tool as a tool and die maker. Ken is survived by his wife, Margie; a son Timothy (Pam) Thomson; a daughter Lisa (Tom) Ross; six grandchildren, Matthew, Aaron, Daniel, Scott, Aidan, and Julia; one great-grandson Colin; his brother John (Joan) Thomson; a sister Barbara (Larry) Carpenter; step-children Todd Harwood, Patrick Harwood, Paula Harwood, Cindy (David) Paquette; step-grandchildren Katie, Kari, Emily, Erin; and one step great-grandson Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Mark Thomson. A graveside service for Ken will be held Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 at noon at Rose Hill Cemetery in East China Twp., St. Clair County, Michigan. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Michigan.
