Kathryn V. McCoy (Bird)

Kathryn V. McCoy, 90, of Maple Forest Twp, passed away on December 15th, 2009. Kathryn was born in Highland Park, MI on September 8, 1919 the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Brown) Bird. The former Kathryn V. Bird married Walter T. McCoy on June 15, 1941 in Highland Park, Michigan. He preceded her in death in 2002 She was the CEO of McCoy Family Tree Farm, LLC. She was a member of the University of Michigan Alumni Association Survived by Walter T. (Paulie) McCoy III of Gaylord Donald R. (Sue) McCoy of Frederic, MI Daughters: Janet (Dennis) Himan of Minnesota Kathryn (Curtis) Curtis-Smith of Kalamazoo 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren Visitation will be held at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling on Thursday Dec. 17, 2009. Funeral Service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Gaylord on Friday Dec. 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Naile officiating. Interment will be at Maple Forest Cemetery in Spring 2010.
